Lake Manuwai is one of the hidden gems in Northland, New Zealand. It’s actually a manmade lake, created to provide irrigation water to the local horticulture industry. It’s also an absolutely amazing place to kayak.
I shot the photos above to go with the article I wrote, ‘The Magic of Lake Manuwai’, for the magazine Motorhomes, Caravans and Destinations.
